Ghanaian photographer Nana Kofi Acquah took these black and white photographs when accompanying his wife to the market early one morning. He also adds:

The average Ghanaian wakes up at 4am. Yes, 4:00 AM to sweep the house, clean, cook bath and feed the children before going to work. Now, the question is, if they’re that hardworking, why are they poor?

It’s true. All over Africa people are working hard and it is sad that the majority don’t get to see the fruits of their labour.
