I love you blog but just wanted to say on the maasai picture (excuse my being picky) as an anthropologist I would not recommend the use of the word tribe- tribe carries a lot colonial typing. Ethnicity or ethnic group is the conventional preferred term. thanks

hi there,

I agree with you and have expressed my views on the word ‘tribe’ before on this blog, back when debates and conversations on multiple topics were a regular feature on this blog (not sure if you were following before I rebooted). That being said, I blog from different devices - including my phone - and don’t always have the time and energy to change every caption on every post I disagree with, so I pick and choose my ‘battles’. Might not be the best method, but this is the best that I can do for now.
