FILM: Omar m’a tuer (Omar Killed Me)
Directed by Cannes Award-winning French-Moroccan actor and filmmaker Roschdy Zem and starring French-Tunisian actor Sami Bouajila as Omar Raddad in the title role, Omar m’a tuer follows the story of an unjustly convicted man who fights for justice in this drama based on a true story.
The film was Morocco’s official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards and was named as one of the nine shortlisted entries for the Oscars but did not make the final five.
