MFA receives rare West African art pieces
The Museum of Fine Arts has been given 34 rare West African pieces from a group of works known as the Benin bronzes, marking a dramatic upgrade in a long-neglected area of the museum’s collection.

I’d absolutely love to know where these came from, i.e. whose possession these pieces were in (and how they came to be there), and why a museum all the way in Boston was chosen to house them? You’d be hard pressed to find a ‘Museum of North American History’ in pretty much any African country.
If my frustration is showing well, that’s because I am.
